MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, BANDUNG– Muhammadiyah believes helping is an inextricable part of this movement. Muhammadiyah services (AUM) focuses on many areas, including education in Indonesia and overseas.
Chairman of Muhammadiyah for Library and Information Prof. Dadang Kahmad mentioned Muhammadiyah school in Australia is a concern of this movement’s concern on Muslims in Australia.
Many Muslims in Australia have a two-year queue to enroll in an Islamic school. Muhammadiyah won’t let it be perpetual. Indeed, the Islamic school is addressed to maintain the Islamic identity of Muslim children living in Australia.
“Thus, we would like to establish schools from kindergarten to high school in Australia,” said Dadang in the online program of Gerakan Subuh Mengaji ‘Aisyiyah of West Java on Sunday (12/9).
Due to the rise of Islamophobia in the West, Muslim parents are worried about sending their children to Australian public schools. They don’t want their children to get Islamophobic abuse.
Besides, Univesiti Muhammadiyah Malaysia (UMAM) in Perlis, Malaysia denotes an implementation of Muhamamdiyah’s character to always help.
Teaching staff at the UMAM must hold a doctoral degree. It illustrates that Muhammadiyah aspires to help people who get difficulty pursuing their doctoral degrees.
“The university is also addressed to assist Malaysian and people around the world.”
“Remember that helping the needy is our main concern,” Dadang said.
