MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, BANDUNG – Muslims may become rich and have a position. However, they have to remain modest because Allah detests arrogant people and poor but arrogant people.
Chairman of Muhammadiyah Dadang Kahmad said each official of both government and private institutions, such as Muhammadiyah, should be humble.
Whoever has authority in the Muhammadiyah may not benefit themselves as this movement to which people devote themselves.
In the online program of Gerakan Subuh Mengaji ‘Aisyiyah of West Java on Sunday (12/9), Dadang encouraged all Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah cadres to revive Muhammadiyah.
Many domestic and international parties appreciated Muhammadiyah as a nonprofit organization. Through Muhammadiyah services managed professionally, this movement can show its roles as an Islamic organization that solemnly focuses on each sector.
“Indeed, Muhammadiyah has attempted to tackle this pandemic without complaining but providing facilities and helps,” Dadang said.
Muhammadiyah hierarchy, from the center to the branches, becomes the main asset of this movement to contribute to broad communities. Civil society of Muhammadiyah are widely carried out in the branches.
As an Islamic movement performing amar ma’ruf nahi munkar, Muhammadiyah always tries to positively impact communities in many areas as religion, health, education, public welfare, and others.
“Many people around us need help, and we may not neglect them,” Dadang said.
Referring to Al-Ma’un theology, one reason for acceptance of prayer is caring about other people, particularly the needy. Hence, Muhammadiyah people may not be selfish and stingy.
