MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, YOGYAKARTA – The Central Board of Muhammadiyah enacted that Ramadan 1442 AH begins on Tuesday, 13 April 2021.
President of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir wished Muslims to have a blessed Ramadan and to say good and behave well to human and surroundings.
“Let’s fast and perform all worship in Ramadan sincerely. This Ramadan should be our opportunity to get close to Allah, to enhance our iman (faith), good deeds, and the quality of ourselves, and to be rahmatan lil alamin,” encouraged Haedar.
“For the ones who are fasting, may the fasting be our way to improve our piety so that we can be pious people who benefit ourselves, family, community, nation, and universal humanity,” he stated.
Besides, since this Ramadan is the second one during the COVID-19 pandemic, Haedar advised people to always obey health protocols as a part of our piety and and ihsn to save life and other people’s lives.
“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, if it’s still impossible to conduct religious activities at mosques, do them at home without decreasing solemnity and taqarrub to Allah,” suggested Haedar.
“We also have to be disciplined with the health protocols to tackle and end the COVID-19,” he added.
“Happy fasting and have a blessed Ramadan. May Allah always bless us and this nation,” expressed Haedar.
